ProNest

I was chatting with a Hypertherm rep at conference and he was telling me about their program to offer ProNest at no cost to schools. I'm curious if it's worth looking into & getting. We will be picking up our Arclight Dynamics table in about a month, so I've been watching their how-to videos on Inkscape, SheetCam, & Mach 3. I also have SketchUp, Rhino 3d, & VCarve on my computers at school.

My questions are:
-What programs would it replace and/or work with in conjuction with?
-Is it something or similar to something that my students might see if they move into the field of fabrication, machining, etc.?
-Would there be any advantages to getting/learning it? Disadvantages?
