Cutting lines

Post by woodworker2001 »

Been reading and learning a ton on here.

One thing I can't figure out is how are you guys just cutting lines. My software promotion nest has lead ins and outs that I cannot contorl or delete individually. I am actually not even sure if it supports lines as I have never tried them.
Does other software allow you to control lead in and lead out individually? What am I missing here?

Thanks
Dan

Short answer, yes.

There are many software packages available for drawing vector art (CAD), and many packages for converting the vector art to g-code (CAM) I use either inkscape or coreldraw to design my projects, and Sheetcam to convert the art to g-code for cutting. Sheetcam will allow you to put your lead-ins where you want, or not use lead-ins at all.

I really know nothing about your software, so can't help you there.

The software I am using as far as I know only allows me to modify all the lead ins at once but I hope that I am wrong on that. I use Coreldraw to create dxfs
Thanks for the reply
