Corel Draw X8

Post by little blue choo »

Been doing most of my work in Inkscape but thinking of going to Corel X8. Does Corel work as well with SVG as it does with DXF ?

Thanks
Rick

Yep, I use X8, was using X5 prior to upgrade about 6 weeks ago. Loved my X5 but now loving X8 even more. One of my graphic designers I have here was an Adobe only person until about 4 weeks ago, since starting here she now uses Corel almost exclusively and can't believe how much better it works for her. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy mostthings become.

Thanks Murray, I've heard it's a lot like Inkscape and I'm hoping that's so. Sure would make the change over a lot easier. What about it guys? Anyone familiar with both Inkscape and Corel? I would like to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Corel works fine with SVG as well.
I don't think it's just as important now if you use sheetcam.
Sheetcam seems to import dxf drawings very well now, I have been using R14 format and haven't had any problems at all since recent updates.
