DXF File issue when saving in wireframe

Post by HammerDownJustin »

Dont really know how to word it. But when I have a file and start modifiying and adding text etc.. Sometimes when i go from wireframe back to normal it loses part of the drawing or in sheetcam it adds all kinds of lines. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Here is a good example..I have got this one all messed up most likely..thx for any help

Sounds like some of your lines have no line width set to them. The easiest thing to do is select all objects by dropping down the Edit menu clicking Select All - Objects then selecting the Outline Pen Tool from the toolbar on the left and setting the line width to Hairline. This will set all your lines to Hairline and they will display in Normal view and export in dxf file properly.

One of the things that I noticed about the drawing was the duplication of some of the lines. At the bottom of the fireman use your pick tool and move the line down and you will see the underlying line. I think this might also be caused by choosing "Convert outline to object". Don't ask me how I know this - might have done this on some of my drawing.
