Poor cut quality

Post by NorthridgeFab »

I am running a plasmacam with a TD52 with shielded consumables. I have tried every amp setting and cut speed and this the best I could get 16g to cut.

75 ipm
Cut Height .187
40 Amps & 40a tip

Also there was enough heat I guess it caused the letter M to melt some.

Is expecting better results than this unrealistic?

Got cutting better now. Settings are:

16g steel
40amps
40a tip
.075 cut height
165ipm

Still wish I could get better quality on the details, like letters. I'll post some pics tomorrow.
