any sugestions on what drawing pad to buy?
I want to buy a usb drawing pad but i am not sure what I need or what kind to buy that will work well with my corell draw. I know i will probably have to inport it. Also what is a good size to buy? Any info you have would be a great help.

I see intuos 5 has touch and pen sensing,
Intuos 4 has the multifunction ring slider control
both have 2048 pen pressure levels
I don't even want to look at an intuos 3 or less, much less use one
but I am a heavy user and little issues make big differences to me
as far as size, I don't use a very large drawing area at all, if I have to lift or slide my wrist too much all the time, that's too big for me
In corel, I only use the pen ever once in a while, when needed it is nice to have, but most things are easier with the mouse,
one other thing I'd consider first is a monitor like this 28" 1920x1200, that makes everything easier...

gary:
What program do you usually use the pen in then? I was thinking I could draw it with the pen and then clean it up in corell. Also i am using corell x3. Any sugestions would be a big help.
Thanks

Re: any sugestions on what drawing pad to buy?
I usually draw a big pure black and white raster image with a tablet in photoshop, then convert to vectors with autotrace, then clean up in corel.
In photoshop I can ink over a picture in no time with a tablet. In corel you have to switch tools and tinker with nodes more while drawing. In raster format you can just draw with the pen, add a little here, erase a little there, all very quickly, whereas in vectors you have to constantly stop and fight with nodes and connectivity the whole time.
I only use a few commands in photoshop, I think photopaint that comes with corel can do just as good.
