Cutting into a water pan with a hand torch

Post by enzed »

Would it be dangerous for the operator to manually cut sheet metal resting on the ribs of a water pan using a hand torch (Hypertherm T45V torch)? Also, could the torch be damaged by the water splashing onto it?

I do it without issue other than getting a little wet.

Hello djreiswig,

Thank you; I am pleased that this can be done safely as this option increases the versatility of the machine.
