How gnarly do you let your slats get before replacing them?

I don't like my steel to get scratched, plus it cuts better when the slats are slag free, so I Keep my slats clean and replace them often, as you can see from these pictures I just took about 5 minutes ago...

best thing ive found is design your own slats and cut them, u can have sharp fingers on there like on fiber lasers to avoid being so cut into or you can always pull the grinder out on a slow day and clean em up!

That is a great reply. If this is really your table it's even better!
