Corel and DesignEdge

Post by michelle »

Hello! New user with a question. Our school purchased a DHC2 table and it came with 3.11 which is not very user friendly to me. I have experience using CorelDraw cutting vinyl but I'm not sure if we could use it for this table. The school is not interested in purchasing the upgrade to get DesignEdge because it's rather expensive so I was curious if we could use Corel instead? Any input is appreciated!

You can design in Corel Draw, export as a dxf, import into Plasmacam 3.11, convert to cut paths within 3.11.

I use Corel Draw all the time, works great. Check the format in which you export to DXF to make sure it imports ok. Some of the versions tend to have some issues. I found that exporting in autocad Ver14 tends to work best.
