torch z travel doesnt stop

torch travels down and makes contact with table and contuse to try and go down. I have to manually hit the stop button in mach3 and then start and then it travels back to cutting height. this just started and I have no idea how to trouble shoot this. any thoughts on where or what to do? By system are you asking if my thc is ohmic or a switch on the torch head?
Mine is ohmic

Pull the wire off the Ohmic sencer and touch it to the work, should light up board, card, probably a spot on the diagnostic page when contact is made.
Check that the work is grounded.
