Just framed a box put a fan in it covered it with chicken wire and put fiberglass batts over that.

That is the whole purpose of it. It starts turning black very soon.

Do you think that the fiberglass could be lightly sprayed with oil the way a K & N filter is? I have thought of this for my furnace filter but never got around to trying it.

I believe this is to catch the smaller Micron dust. They have different level filters that have HEPA rating that will catch the smaller dust while sacrificing flow.

Haven't thought about spraying with oil.Been very happy with the way it's been working
