New-not sure where to ask this question?Format for File Sharing
I want to share files, but I'm not sure how to add the correct format. I am using Torchmate's software. Do I post the DXF from the cutting software or from the CAD software?

The DFX file is usable by more people here, that give them the option to change size or functions that work with their table.

Re: New-not sure where to ask this question?
Normally I prefer files posted from the CAD software before tool paths and/or cut paths are done. I usually prefer to do my own cut paths and such, plus it makes it easier for me if I want to edit the file in any way.
Just posting the DXF is fine and is what most prefer. Some prefer the SVG file if you can export that out of your software. Either one works for me.

You could post the CDL file and the DXF file

I have a TM3 machine. I post DXF files from the TM Cad BEFORE I toolpath them so that others may work on them without having to get rid of the leadins. TM will also make a PDF of the file.
