Need help drawing a flat pattern for a square to round

Post by deerobsession »

I am interested in finding software used to draw the flat pattern of a square to round transition. I am looking for something that won't cost me an arm and a leg. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have just recently bought a plasmacam system and am still learning and trying to find all the different software available. Thank you for your help.

Are shop has Shop Data Systems for HVAC and it has a large selection of fittings and a fairly easy to use interface for making you fittings to exactly what you need. Not sure what it cost because it was purchased before my time here but it works very well. I will say its not the best when it comes to the metal art projects when things are super detailed but fittings are very good.

Hope this helps.

If you are using AutoCAD check into Litio2. It's a 3rd party add on for AutoCAD, around $70 IIRC. Sqare to round, rect. to round, elbows, etc. Works pretty good for me.

You've probably figured the transition out by now but here is a link that I've used before.

Easy and free....there is a transition for a cone there too.

Hope it helps,
Clark
