Re: Score of the day
the auction started 2 days ago at $9.99 and it was at $27 this morning and I knew it was going to go up but I didn't expect them to go for that little of a price. I just bought 2 the other day at my welding supply house for $13.00

That's a great buy. I pay anywhere from $7.00 to $8.50 each.

Re: Score of the day
Now if I could just find a deal like that on consumables. I won an auction about 4 months ago for $100 with about $500 worth of consumables and the guy stiffed me and never sent me anything. I was pissed. Those things are expensive and they've got us by the balls because we can't use our machines without them. Kind of like trying to use a computer without an operating system.

Don't feel bad guys. The box says made in China - so they will probably fall apart as soon as they start spinning. That should make everyone feel better.
There is plenty of room at the top - and the top is where you want to be. Whenever you do a project - do the hardest part first and the rest will be easy.

Have you checked the retail price on Tru-Maxx blades ? their not cheap and what isn't made in China these days when it comes to tools, cars and TV'sanvilhead wrote:Don't feel bad guys. Just make sure you have your safety gear on when using those things.
The last time I bought chinese abrasives, it was a pack of 3" zipcut wheels. 2nd wheel into the pack, it exploded like a grenade went off and I ended up with a 4" scar up my left arm. The only thing left on the arbour was the little metal reinforcement insert from the centre of the disc. I swore off chinese abrasives after that and threw the rest of them in the garbage. I think their quality control goes something like this... is it close to being round? yep... does it have grit on it? yep... good to go, ship it.

Re: Score of the day
My plan was to only keep about 20 of them (the 40 grit ones) and sell the rest this weekend at an outdoor flea market I have a table at. $5 each or 10 for $50 if I sell them all that's $600 in my pocket for an $80 investment and I still get the use of 20 blades for myself.
