Daughters first design and a 150 year old saw blade

Post by jeeplogic83 »

My 14 year old daughter designed the butterfly I only helped with program functions and then welded it together I think it turned out pretty nice. I will coat it with copper fx and some rainbow torch when it arrives on friday and re-post a pic then. The other pic is a 150 year old saw blade from the guys great grand fathers sawmill hope you like them.

Nice Greg, love seeing things kids do and create, my two little ones (8 and 10) are always creating and willing to help out in the shop. You daughter did a wonderful job on that butterfly.
Were you nervous cutting that saw blade? LOL I am sure you did not have a spare on hand. Nice work.

I have had that saw blade ever since I converted my Practical table to CandCNC making sure I worked out all the bugs. When I hit Run if felt like I was looking at that dear though a scope and the guy was standing right next to me, he wanted to be there when I cut it out. I was as nervous as a hooker in church. All I can say is I am glad its done and out of the shop. I have 52 inch saw blade but have not found what I want to cut into it yet.
