Tipper parts

Post by BensPlasmaAu »

I have been doing a few things for a mob making truck bodies. Mainly tippers and now into beaver tail trailers. Only a few small brackets and pivots at the moment, but the steps I designed up look awesome on the bodies.

The pivot bracket was made up via the guys at the workshop making a cardboard template and taking a picture with a ruler on it to get scale. I brought it into the cad and plotted points on the corners and a circle at the right point for the hole. The radius of the pin was measured and I put that in after the general outline was done. Worked first time.

Good stuff Ben.

I've always been more interested in the mechanical stuff that has some practical use. It's also a good feeling when you know someone will be using your footsteps day in day out, and it's helping them do something.
