Navy Chief Anchor

Post by stuk4x4 »

I finished this up today. I found the anchor here on the site and modified it to fit my project. It is 46 inches tall and 29 inches wide. I welded 1/2 inch nuts to the back of the sheet metal and then wired the chain to it. The chain is welded on both sides of every link. The black filler panels are PVC sheet, I epoxied 1/2 inch nuts on the diamond plate and then wired them on as well. It was a really fun project.
Thanks for looking.

Thats awesome! I retire in 2 weeks so this year is a bit more special than some of the other years I have initiated new Chief Petty Officers. I was stationed in Pensacola from 02-05, it was one of my best duty stations.

Congrats on retirement and thanks for your service.
My daughter was here twice, training, and later for a duty station she's outside of DC now where she retired.
