King Tut and Nefertiti pyramid LED lamp

Post by DXF »

Cut this out of 14 gage. Took (72) 8-32 stainless steel button head screws and nuts to assemble. The insides will be covered in textured opaque plastic panels and wrapped in remote controlled LED lights when done. Hope to have it painted and wired this week. I'll post pics when its done and lit up.

Got it painted and wired. The different fade and flash modes on the remote look real cool.

Thanks. I have 10 more Egyptian panels designed from Ptah to a scarab beetle to Isis. It actually looks better lit up live. Had to cut everything (3) times except Nefertiti due to engineering changes. Been a real challenge!

Thanks everyone for the comments. After cutting, bending and welding metal for over 50 years your bound to get it right once in a while. Trust me I have a large scrap pile of failures.....people who don't do anything don't screw up. Wish I had the machines and software many of you have but what I have works, it just makes it a little harder.
