Pre-patina, engraved and cut

Post by 9er »

So we've had our machine for a while now. I hate to say I am nowhere near where I want to be with programming and operation. The shop just got busy in other areas. But, I do have one great customer that forces me to step up to the plate.
He wanted a black patina'd light box with an illuminated company name and message engraved. We had to pre-patina the sheet so engraving would show up, then plasma cut it out. Pretty happy with this as our first attempt.

We made a few of these so we patina'd a half sheet and put a couple weights on the corners. The engraving is the first process. When we start engraving more, I'll devise a hold-down that connects to the slats.
