Sign for a bar
Finished this one up last week and installed it. 24" wide, 3" thick. Double sided. 14 gauge HR P&P fully welded around both sides. One side is just a touch bigger than the other so they slide inside of eachother. Finished with a textured black powder coat. Milky white plexi. Color change LED lights wrapped 2 times inside.

Re: Sign for a bar
Thanks jester. The lady didnt want to do the color LED at first. But I had them and used them, and now she loves it. Told her she could do red for Valentines, green for saint pats and so on. The LED that i used has a RGB diode, then a Pure White, Then a RGB and so on. Its nice because you can get a true WHITE that is the blue/white tint and not have to use the RGB to make a white. Can turn the white diodes off independently from the RGB too

Re: Sign for a bar
Rons, I did this one for her for $250...... That is WAYYYYY lower than I would charge for a sign like this. I would usually charge around 800 to 1000 bucks for one like this. But I have done work with this lady for 10 years. She was my first customer when I started my general contracting business.... I have built 2 bars/night clubs for her since then. And, she has always called me to do maintenance and repairs for the bars. I have made a custon DJ booth, stainless steel urinals and sinks, railings, various light mounts, counters, and so on over the years. I closed my construction business in 2013 and started doing metal fab full time from there. She has still called me anytime she needs anything done. And, I gave her the lo price because I am also making 2 8 foot by 18" wide tables that adjust from 36" high to 46" high as well as making 3 flower planters too. And it helps that she is an amazing blonde lady from Ireland with that killer accent. I might have been known to do some freebie work just because of they way she asks me to do things........

Re: Sign for a bar
I am sure you will get plenty of referrals from that sign alone.
Again really well done.
Thanks
Ron

Doesn't even look like metal. So you saying your routered out the plexi and the letters and center slide into it? What font is that ?

Re: Sign for a bar
Gamble, I cut out the circle out of 14 gauge. The letters are cut out of the metal. The H was also cut out of 14 gauge. I cut 2 of each of these. I sheared 2 strips of 18 gauge. I wrapped a strip around the OUTSIDE of one, and the INSIDE of the other circle. That gave me the ability to slide one inside the other. I fully welded and blended the seams all around the edge. PAIN IN THE ARSE. Almost 13 feet of total welds. I cut the plexi in a circle with a jigsaw and glued it inside each half. Ran my lights around the inside of the inside circle, ran the wires out the top and slid the 2 halves together to 1 inch overlap and riveted them together.,, Hope that makes sense

Re: Sign for a bar
Binderman, I got those lights from a customer at the motorcycle shop next to me. I think he gets them off Amazon though, he said they come from China. I usually use led from US LED SUPPLY, but he did not have the RGBW last time i checked. But his lights are very nice, and affordable nd his shipping is fast.

Re: Sign for a bar
I switched over to the module style leds and love them! I had a couple really bad batches from Amazon. Then I found a manufacturer called Rexton that sells on Amazon. They are really nice lights. It's the only brand I use now.
