Post by DieselMonkey »

We just finished up our new shop gate last week, hopefully going to be hanging it up sometime this week if the weather cooperates. The center scene is a file off of here. The Gate is 19' 9 1/2" x 6' x 684 lbs.

Nice looking gate - wow, I hope you have a REALLY big chunk of concrete in the ground to hold that up.

Wow, that's pretty quick. Can't tell what the operator is? is that screw drive or? Do you purchase the system locally or internet?

Thanks

Its a US Automatic Patriot, Screw Motor. We run about a 6 on the load limit dials out of a possible 10. Takes about 60 pounds to push the gate closed/pull it open from where the arm connects to the gate. We've even got it set for soft start/stop its so easy to swing. Ball Bearing hinges are worth their weight in gold when it comes to gates that heavy. We've had the opener for about 7 years now, the company that originally installed it before we even got into CNC cutting has long since gone out of business.
