Rocket lamp

Post by Kaos2016 »

Inspired by Craig Johnson's rocket lamp, I decided to make one , but wanted it to be my own design.

It's an addressable LED strip with and Arduino running the code for the colors.

The lamp turned out great, I like the legs I debated doing mine that way, the acorn nuts are a nice touch.
I would love to see a video of the lights. I am using Arduino boards and shields for my current project and I wish I looked into them sooner it's amazing what you can do with them. Now I haven't bread-boarded in about 30 years and haven't written code for about 20 years but it is so much easier to program in the Arduino SDK environment, it even checks the syntax of your code for errors and changes the color of a statement if the code is valid , a huge debugging time saver.

Here's a quick 30 second video. It only shows 3 of the 7 animations programmed in.
