Re: Buckmark Contest
That is really cool! What's the finish on the back layer, it looks like metallic camo?

Here's a close-up view of the background. It's just COPPER F/X, then little droplets of FLAME F/X GEL, pushed around with 10psi out of my air-brush. (nothing in the cup...just used the airbrush to move the gel around. As it moves, it creates marbling and patterns that are pretty cool looking)Chopper John wrote:That is really cool! Re: Buckmark Contest
I just lined 'em up, clamped & tack-welded in about 8 places around the perimeter. Burned deep enough that when I ground down the welds, they didn't come apart. No tack welds on the interior, just the outside edges.M & N Steel CNC wrote:Bill how did you attach the two pieces?

Re: Buckmark Contest
I welded the two pieces together after polishing them. Then, cleaned up the welds & added the patinas.M & N Steel CNC wrote:So you tack welded after patina abd clear coat?
That's really the only way you can do it, unless you're using adhesives.

Got you a five Star Bill,
Putting a cute chick with it tattooed is just cheating. People aren't voting on that.
