Very Cool...what kind of bit or abrasive rod did you use in the die-grinder?

Thank you :)

4.5" grinder with 5" 50 grit single pad for the initial grinding of the entire piece. 40 grit 2" single pad on a right angle die grinder. Did a couple test runs on some scrap first. Was hard trying to make the two reflections symmetrical, but the idea is there at least.

Good to know!

I've got a right-angle die-grinder with a bunch of Roloc pads, just haven't used it much.
Haven't used it all, actually...it was a brand-new Snap-On die-grinder w/ case and accessories that I saw on Craigslist about 3 yrs. ago for $50, so I grabbed it.
Now, I have a reason to use it!! Thanks, Travis!

Thanks for the compliments fellas :) This was a fun one to make. Trying to decide if I want to keep it as a wall hanging or turn it into a table?

Friggin Awesome Travis!!! your grinding is MAD Skilz...I know...I love using my angle grinder with Rolocs for a lot of things including fine detail grinding, clean-up in tight places and finishing swirl patterns on pcs where a 4.5 in. may catch and cause it to come apart causing damage to me or the piece. Two thumbs up!

That sugar skull is awesome! I love the idea for the eyes! The great thing about that style is if your not happy with the results you grind it off and start again!!
