Newbie needs to know how to load dcf file into candcam

Newbie here how do you get a dxf file to be recognized on the candcnc computer, go easy on me

You need to process your DXF file with Sheetcam or something like it to produce a G-Code file. There are many good instructional videos on Youtube in the use of Sheetcam.

If its a CommandCNC (Linux) computer you have SheetCAM , Q CAD, Inkscape and Libra Draw on that computer. ArclightCNC.com has training videos on how to import a DXF into SheetCAM. Inkscape will also import DXF and export SVG that SheetCAM understands as well.

Thanks, I am somewhat overwhelmed but as long as this forum and youtube are around there is hope for me
