Lincoln Pro Cut 55

Post by SHines »

I have been a member of this site for about 3 months now and I really appreciate all the help I've been getting. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Lincoln Pro Cut 55 Plasma Cutter? We have one in our shop that everything seems to work "normal" until you squeeze the trigger on the torch and nothing happens. I dont get any errors or anything and I'm not sure what could be wrong. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Sydney

I haven't had any experience with Lincoln plasma cutters but for plasma cutters in general here are a few things to check.

1. Be sure that you have a good set of consumables installed and the retaining cap is on securely.

2. Be sure you have an adequate air supply to the torch & adjusted to the proper pressure.

3. Be sure the torch cable is securely connected to the machine.

4. Be sure you have a good ground to the work piece.

5. If the machine powers on but won't fire & everything else looks ok you could try changing out the torch if you could find one to borrow.

If none of the above works, you may have to take it to a service center.
