New Guy

Post by cspauldini »

After weeks of reading this forum to figure out what kind of table would be best for me, I finally made the decision to go with an LDR. I was able to look at a couple of machines in person thanks to some kind members from this forum. Took the long trip up to LDR in NY to pick up the machine and some training. And after a couple minutes talking to Dan and walking around his shop I knew we made the right choice. I would like to say thanks to all the contributing plasmaspider members for all the technical advice, file sharing, and humor. You guys make this a great resource for guys like me.

Machine is all setup and have been cutting some artwork that I have downloaded from this site to get used to the machine. Looking forward to becoming a contributor......

Thanks Again,
Chris

NICE! Hey, let me know how you end up liking that machine. I have a 4x4Torchmate, but after talking to LDR I think I'm going with that exact table.

Yeah pretty neat to see all the equipment he was working on. He is way out in the middle of nowhere. We drove my motor home up there and Dan told us we could stay at a place about 3/4 mile down the road. So we pull in there at 10:30pm and the smell of manure from the barn next door was so bad we had to go back into to town and stay at the Walmart. City kids couldn't handle the smell. But it was an awesome trip and well worth the drive to get some face to face time with Dan. Lots of knowledge in those four walls.
