Badge and Bottle Opener

Post by KIDTech »

Love the new table (LDR), took a little time from the manufacturing side of things to get a side job done and some business cards. The cards look really good after they've been cleaned up fyi.

Info as in what, I can tell you my settings and equipment which is fast and easy, how I program and set scribe work up in layers in ACAD which is a little bit of time or we can talk about choosing what to cut and what to scribe when I'm working on a drawing which would take many chapters and a lot of words.... I have no problem helping with any of these scenarios though.

It's all about your skills and time. There is a quote I really like and don't know it word for word but it's done me fine. If there a piece of equipment you need and don't buy, you're going to pay someone else to own it. I myself am an MET (Mechanical Engineering Technology) major and work full time as a controls engineer so take it for what it is. Could I have designed and built my own scribe, yes. I built my first table from scratch like many others on this site but I'm to the point that me spending $1,200 on a scribe is a no brainer. I don't have the time to spend building equipment costing me money for pride to say I built it. If this is a hobby business and you can take a week off to build your scribe by all means do it. You'll learn a ton and it would be a blast to build one but it cost me money to do it.
