Re: Buying a plasma cutter

Well, I have 2 Hypertherm Plasma Cutters, 1 Powermax 600 and I bought a Powermax 30 for on the floor hand cutting. Got tired of pulling the torch off my table to use on the floor. Well that's all I need to say, if they are no good I wouldn't buy a second one. You even get a free gift when you regist...

Re: DXF trial

Opens in X3 and X5 Corel Draw, showed there to be 343 objects when there should be 19, the great thing about X5 with a click of a button you can join them. In X3 you need to join them by hand using the node tool. Great file Plasma Joe I am not sure if you have join line segment or there is a way in ...

It works in X3 if you use IMPORT rather than OPEN

I just tried that Gary the dxf won't open for me in X3, even using the import function. Maybe we don't have some updates?

Re: HELP AGAIN!! Won't cut all the way through

I agree< I always ground the part as well, seem to work better when your table gets built up with dross. the other thing you can do is increase your peirce time a little, if your metal is dirity or has a thick millscale this will allow for penetration.

Re: Running a 1250 on 408 volts?

The unit needs to be designed to run at 408 volts! Check the tag on it to see what it is designed to run at, 240,347,600 etc, if it is a 240v unit you can't just hook it to 408v you will blow it up! Check to see if there is a stepdown transformer or a lighting panel somewhere that has the voltage yo...
