Re: Cutmaster 52 beveled edges

I use a 9-8208 tip for 40 amp cutting...not sure what the difference is. I have found that when I used to have problems with heavy bevel on my edge it was because my air supply had too much moisture. After I got that cleared up everything started to work so much better. I read here that if you have ...

Re: Converting dxf to black and white picture

Hey CL...I use Corel and it's a snap. Simply open the DXF, select the outer wireframe only (leave the interior objects) and click on FILL...done. Then I save it as a jpeg and I've got my sample image in seconds. This isn't going to help you at all if you don't have Corel but you can pick it up on Eb...

Re: Cool Looking Air Dryer for Plasma Cutter

I just purchased one of these PCP dryers. The reviews seem to be pretty good on them. Do they usually ship pretty fast? I was wondering how long it takes to get them? I know mine shipped the next day and arrived 2 days later with FedEx so I was impressed. A friend of mine saw the unit and had to or...

Re: B&B systems inc

I thought I had seen them all but I have never seen that one. I currently own a PlasmaCam and although it has worked well for me I would not consider it or it's bigger brother the Samson to be a "heavy duty" unit. I too am in the market a larger, more robust machine but have yet to decide ...

I am not familiar with the RTI air dryer but I bought one of the PCP Group air dryers that you see advertised on this site and it works great.

Re: Teaching Plasma Cam in School

Hi Gary That's great that you are helping out with the schools program. What is it that they are trying to teach the kids? Plasma cutting is not likely the what the class is all about. Are they teaching the kids AutoCad? I have a local school that teachs AutoCad then let's the kids cut their design ...

Re: Air Dryer for Plasma Cutter

Just got around to taking some pictures of my new dryer for you guys. Decided to mount it to the side of my computer cabinet. I figured it was too nice looking to hide away, and I will be more likely to drain the the prefilter more frequently which is what they said to do with this unit. Cool stuff!...

I have heard a lot of bad things about it also but there a TON of these out there so of course your going to hear more about it. The more I research buying a n...

Re: Air Dryer for Plasma Cutter

I too had a Motor guard filter unit prior to my PCP dryer. It worked well but not as good as this one, plus these filters are much cheaper. The PCP filter elements look like large rolls of paper towel rather than toilet paper and are 2-3 times the size of the Motor Guard elements and less than half ...

Re: PLASMACAM CNC Plasma Cutting Tables

I hear ya...moisture is a big problem for me. This time of year it is very humid and I go through consumables like crazy. I just picked up a PCP Group air dryer and it works AWESOME. I had a Motor Guard unit and I was going through 2 filter elements a week ($20 per week) :o This new one has a prefil...
