Re: corel draw help

The left side of your gauge has over extending lines which could be causing you problems also. See image below where I have circled, there may be more so you will have to zoom in close to find these. Fix this issue up and try again.

Re: Corel questions

Sounds like Corel isn't closing down properly and looking for a back up when it reopens. These backup files will be stored in a specfic directory and and it will likely specify that directory when it indicates to you that it has found a backup. If you wish to delete these backups you can go to that ...

Re: Corel draw - Duplicate objects on top of each other

I see this happen a lot when using Corels Power Trace feature to convert a bitmap to a vector drawing. It may not even be a true "layer" problem, you can have duplicate objects on top of each other and all be on the same layer. What I find helps to identify these problems is the following:...

Reply and attach the image you are looking to trace. Some images are just not suitable for auto tracing and a more manual trace approach will be needed to convert the image.

Select your grouped objects by clicking on it with the Pick tool, now drop down the Object menu from the top of your screen and scroll down to the Group fly out and select Ungroup All Objects. This should ungroup them so you can work with each object individually. Good luck :D

Re: Corel FAQ

No need to trace this since it is already a vector and ready to use. I opened your file mazda-speed.svg in Corel and confirmed it is good to go. The other 3 files were not usable for me. View it in wire frame and you will see your vector lines. mazdaspeed sample.PNG You may want to edit the size but...

Re: Corel FAQ

A PDF file can contain many different elements and it may be that your PDF already contains the vectors you need. Drop down your view menu in Corel and select wireframe view. If you see a wireframe and the image doesn't just turn to a light grey fill you have vectors. Upload the file if you like and...

Re: LETTERING

its possible that your software cannot handle newer dxf files and you should try saving from Corel as an older dxf version. When saving a dxf window will appear where you can drop down the version menu and select the oldest version available (bottom of the list) and try that. Hope that helps.

You can also save your files as a .cmx (Corel Presentation Exchange) file which will work universally among all versions of CorelDRAW.

Re: Corel FAQ

If you have imported an image I am guessing you're referring to a bitmap image and not a vector image . In that case there will be no nodes and it will need to be traced first to create the wireframe outline which will contain the nodes you can edit. Hope this helps.

Sounds like a sticky start plunger in the torch head.

Where are spraying the WD40 to make the problem stop?

Re: Quick question for Jim Colt

This is likely caused by using a nozzle that is worn out, have you tried a new nozzle and electrode? Using a hand torch will not be the problem but be sure that the torch head itself is square to the material on both axis. Hand torch installations typically are not very rigid and can easily be knock...

I know you adjusted your THC dial to bring the torch back down to resolve the issue you started this thread about and now you mention it is too low so I am guessing you turned the THC dial too far. There is no fixed position on the THC dial that you are looking to find that will be good for all mate...

Re: Arclight Dynamics Questions and Answers

For sure, just turn the THC off and manually set your torch to work distance to the recommended height specified in your plasma cutters manual. You may need to bare the PC off at the pierce location at the start of your lead in depending on how thick the PC is.

Re: thc

If your torch is rising during the cut your THC voltage is set too high. Locate the THC adjustment dial on the front of your ProTable command center and turn CCW (towards the - side) to reduce arc voltage which will reduce your cutting height. As it sits with your torch rising the arc will likely go...

I'm running a current version of Command n Cut and doing my line work in Corel X7. I'm trying to create a 16" circle on my Tracker table. I've converted the ellipse into curves and everything looks good and smooth in Corel. Once in Command n Cut the circle becomes a series of straight lines ag...

Any way to do this. Crop your page size to item or items selected with pick tool? If you have your items selected with the pick tool you can look in the upper left corner for the overall size of the selected items, see below. Once you know the overall size of your items you can easily change your p...

Yes, it could be that the student version you are running does not have that feature.

If you contact Corel you may find they have an upgrade for you that will get you what you need.

Best of luck.

Re: Help!! Corel to DXF

Should be pretty easy if your version allows for dxf output.

Drop down the File menu and click on Export.

When the box shown below appears drop down the File of Type menu and select dxf.

Re: Frusturated!

Not sure of your controller and software but ours and many others will have settings that raise the torch up a user specified distance before traversing to the next profile which is very helpful to solve this. Call your manufacturer and they may be able to help.
