Re: Battery Backup UPS Power Source

Does anyone run their table and computer off of an uninterruptible power source (UPS)? Does it negatively affect the height control at all? I was just wondering if there's a chance that the 'neutral' from the two power sources was at a slightly different voltage potential reference point if that wo...

Re: Trucutcnc Series 1 or dynatorch super B?

Interesting: you are recommending a table you have never used based on a video ? I realize that is how some people make a decision but its a lot of money to spend to find out if real life equals a slick video. Its the only way I can explain how people still buy Burntables ...but i digress. Tom, jus...

Re: Trucutcnc Series 1 or dynatorch super B?

Hi, have a quick look at J D Squared Plasma Tables. They are new to the market and so far seem outstanding. I am waiting on the International overseas models to become available. But mate , I see you have settled on a choice if 2, but might I suggest you add this to your choice. They have videos ava...

Re: Finecut Woes

Hey Phil, something I and a few others have discovered (there is a thread somewhere) that when we change consumables and adjust volts for the new consumable back to the correct height, for some peculiar reason it won't cut through in certain cuts. We discovered that after a consumable change, we up ...

Re: Lead in help

Hi this is my opinion based on some observations on my machine. The divot is caused at the end of the cut as the plasma reaches the end of cut and the piece drops out and you get a longer bigger arc blast just before the drop out piece drops. I discovered after reading a lot on here to set a "o...

Jd Squared Plasma Tables

Hi folks, does anyone have the new JD Squared Mad series Plasma table in operation?
If yes, are you happy with the machine?
They are only USA supplied at present but apparently will be International later.

This was a neat conversion that Alan Shirley generously did a few months ago that I cut and the customer finally had Air brushed.

Re: So what options do I have??? Dross removal & clean up.....

Interesting as it is for sale at all our swimming pool supplies shops and hardware stores. It is also commonly called "ph Decrease" as it is used for lowering the ph if your swimming pool :) I guess if you put the crystals on your skin or in your eyes, these things as Gamelord points out w...

Re: So what options do I have??? Dross removal & clean up.....

Hi, I don't use muriatic acid but do use a 150 litre container of water mixed with some sodium bilsulphate. It use probably 4 cups in that and add another 2 cups maybe once a month. Soak 24 hours and the dross just wipes off. How safe is it? It's a granular white powder that swimming pool companies ...

Peace

Saw this one on a cool site, Iron Dog Metal from memory and had to make for myself. 3mm Corten plate. To be mounted on a nice rustic piece of wood. Did you know that the peace sign as it is known is actually designed from the semaphores for N & D -Nuclear Disarmament. :D Pacem Versa. Larry Camer...

Rotary wankel engine search

Hi plasma spider people, does anyone have a rotary engine dxf they could share? I have the dxf attached but somehow have to incorporate this to make a sign for a mancave. I had thought I saw something on here a while back but could find nothing. Any thoughts appreciated. Larry NZ http://www.plasmasp...

Re: Anyone have one of the JD2 MAD tables?

We have one a 5'x10' . I have nothing to compare to but it seems to work very well. Some issues I don't like are if something causes a fault you cannot just resume or jump back to that spot in the file. You have to scrap and start over or dry run to the point of failure and turn off dry run. We ord...

Has anyone had experience using this machine or know someone who does use it. All made in England, possibly the ones in the states are made in USA. They seem to have integrated the Hypertherm units to the systems. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on them. They have a 2'x 2' to up to standard ...
