Re: How would you price these two parts?

Thanks for the input guys. As far as quantities go, everything is in "sheet-lots"....as many parts as possible on a sheet. Because of their buying volume, they're getting a little better pricing per sheet than I am and they don't mind furnishing the material. That's good and bad at the sam...

How would you price these two parts?

Howdy All, A trailer manufacturer has approached us about cutting a lot of their small parts.....probably 10 sheets per week...3/16". 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2". I think pricing is one of the hardest things to get a grip on....so I'm asking for a little advice. I know that there are a c...

Re: HELP - Were can I buy this tool.

Looks a lot like an adjustable rivet spacer....I got mine from aircraftspruce dot com. They've got a 10-hole and a 20-hole model. I think the 20 hole model will expand up to 36". They work great!

@ Danny : Until I remembered having the gearbox, we were thinking about the lawnmower transmission idea too. We even thought about keeping the engine....it might've made enough racket to cover up all of the noise!

@Brianmick : Cool build! I like the timer idea!

Re: Parts Tumbler Build (with pics)

The motor I went with was a 1.5 HP, 1725 RPM. I used a 10-tooth drive sprocket on the motor and a 60-tooth sprocket on the gearbox, giving a 6:1 reduction in the chain drive. The gearbox was a 50:1 reduction, so I wound up with a 300:1 overall reduction.....1725 RPM's in and about 6 RPM out. Here is...

Re: Parts Tumbler Build (with pics)

I welded a "tombstone-shaped" plate to one of the uprights to support the gearbox. To attach the gearbox to the pipe, I welded the drive ring to the endplate with 4 stand-offs. I could've cut the hole pattern in the endplate but I figured it would be better to keep the studs "out of h...

Parts Tumbler Build (with pics)

Hi Guys! We're starting to cut a lot of parts for a couple of trailer manufacturers and I finally decided to build a parts tumbler....and I thought y'all might like to see some pictures of the build. I had most of the parts already....the only things I had to buy were the motor, drive sprocket and r...

Re: Need help with drawing railing panel

Doug,

Can you be a little more specific regarding the type of help that you need? Are you having trouble with the dimensions or the design? ...ie. is it a rise/run issue or artwork related? Will the body of the panel be an artwork scene or balusters?

You might want to "stencil" the O, D and A, so the the middle of those letters don't drop out....

Import the dxf. Select everything. Click on Arrange then choose Join Curves. When the Join Curves docker opens, click on Apply. 343 curves should go down to 19.

Re: need help fast, for a good cause!!!

That looks to be a working clock, readable from the outside. Is that what they're looking for...or just a decorative piece? Whether it's a working clock or not makes a big difference. If it's not a working clock, would you even want to include the hands?...if you did, what time would it be set to?.....

Re: Whos file is this?

When you buy the cd's (from Gary or Jason), you can use the images separately or in combination with others, to create your cut files. Cut one...cut 1000...sell them...or give them away. Just don't sell (or otherwise distribute) the artwork itself. ( ie. sell or give away the cut pieces, not the fil...

Like Gary said, it would be easier to figure out the problem if you could post an example. It's hard to say whether or not they can be easily cleaned up unless we see what's messed up. Do any of the files you got in the Superbundle give you problems? ...or is it all from other sources?

Yep...worth every penny. The Super bundle is listed as having 4698 designs....in 5 vector formats...for 88 bucks. That's less than 2 cents each. You can't go wrong like that. Not that I want either of them to raise their prices, but both Gary (SignTorch) and Jason (Cascade) are way too cheap on thei...

Re: Need help converting.

Just download the zip file and then "extract all files". Gary saved the file in 6 different formats for you. (Adobe Illustrator, Corel, Postscript, GIF, SVG and DXF) By compressing them into a "zip" file, he could simply upload one file (rather than 6) and, since a zip file is co...
