for me the best table is the one that I built.

A table that you can afford and that makes money. that's the best table.

gonna throw this out there-

Addin another motor to your gantry would serve you better than adding linear rails.

CandCNC MACH3 Sheetcam THC issue

Had my table running since 2012. It's been almost flawless. Recently replaced My PC with another unit and now have a new strange issue. My table motion pauses for a split second ever time there is a THC on/off command. The only way i have found to eliminate this is to either Disable THC control in t...

Re: How much better is feathertouch?

I don't have a water table. But do have the FT. I have cut material with ice, snow, and rain water in it. My torch's post flow blows away the pools of water that form on the plate before it pierces.

Doesn't that happen on your table?

flush mount trailer light box

I'm in the middle of a rebuild of a 7x14 Dump trailer. Was looking for an oval trailer light mount for the LED lights. Couldn't find one in my stash of DXF files. So I drew on up. I also added templates for 3/4" led both sizes 2" Marker lights 2.5" marker lights 4" flush mount st...

Re: gantry rebuild question

thanks for the replies. I fabricated the last gantry out of steel and it has been great. just want to change the design a little. I Think I'm going to fabricate another gantry from alum instead of getting the extrusion. I have easy access to cheap alum in large quantities.

Re: Calibration??

Not familiar with your machine but you can run run your table out to 6 inches and measure how far the table really traveled. then out to say 48 inches then about an inch less than the over all travel of your table.

I do that about once a month to check for accuracy and change settings accordingly

gantry rebuild question

Looking into rebuilding my gantry and I'm thinking about using an 80/20 extrusion. my current table gantry is 6'2" wide with a 3"wide rail, running cncrouter parts linear carriages. I was thinking about using a 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 extrusion for the gantry and making my own connectors and end pl...
