Sheetcam adding line of code, not sure where it's coming from

I'm trying to configure the M998 and M999 for THC off and on, respectively. I have them set in the snippet, however, if I choose 'none' in the code snippet and cut rules in an operation, Sheetcam is still adding M999 but I don't know where it's coming from. Sometimes I just want a small operation to...

Re: Program Converts Fonts to Stencil Fonts

DeskEngrave. There's a free version that's limited but still useful. Uses whatever font you have in the Font folder. Exports directly to DXF.

That'd be nice, Jim. I know you're a busy man so whenever you get the chance. :)

Re: DIY'ers List of Materials for DIY table

Yeah, I was posting for the DIYer that wants to do it all. I wanted to experience the build from the ground, up. All my electronics are integrated by me and the structure is designed and built by me. I had some experience with NC and controls so I just wanted to explore that some more. Yes, I am an ...

Re: Ohmic Sensing for the hardcore DIY'er

ESS running Mach3. Doesn't matter what system you have. If it accepts 5V logic, then it works on anything.

Ohmic Sensing for the hardcore DIY'er

I managed to integrate a CandCNC ohmic sensor to signal my ESS for probing. It's not hard and only $75 if you want the option. Z-Home wire to +5VDC and COM to your input of choice. Doesn't make sense to me because COM I originally had to Ground and Z-home to the input. Didn't do anything. Maybe misl...

Re: DIY'ers List of Materials for DIY table

I didn't see https://www.automationtechnologiesinc.com/ in the list. I've always been very happy with their prices and service. Also Ebay shouldn't be overlooked for import electronics and ball nuts/screws etc. There is also an 80/20 store on ebay that has some good prices on odds and ends and cuto...

M-Code placement in program

This is both a Sheetcam and Mach3 question. DIY machine but I'm running the mentioned software. When trying to setup for cutting small holes, I want to turn the THC off. I have the code snippet in Sheetcam (M102:M101::THC_ON:THC_OFF) as well as the macro in Mach3. However, whenever I go from cutting...

DIY'ers List of Materials for DIY table

Maybe sticky material? Figure it would be beneficial for anyone wanting to build a DIY table to have some references to go by. I know it would help me experience newer CNC material. This is for the true DIY'er. Not so much turn-key "DIY" kits. I know some of us just have that itch to do ev...
