Re: Looking for someone in Oklahoma

Her name is Debra Campbell, debra.[email protected].net Looking for twenty woman figures, about 5' 2" tall, painted red. I figured the shipping costs would be quite large from central Texas to her location, so I suggested that I find her someone closer. You can mention my name, Bob Thompson, o...

Looking for someone in Oklahoma

Potential customer wanting a 5' 2" silhouette of a woman in metal, painted red, times twenty . Just trying to do her a favor since I'm in Central Texas and shipping alone would be very, very expensive. I want replies from now until July 17, 2016, no replies beyond that please. Send your contact...

Re: Massachusetts

If this lady wants to continue with her order, she could possibly drive to your location rather than paying over a $1K to have it shipped from Texas. Real simple deal...a momma bear followed by three cubs. The momma bear fills a 48 by 96 sheet of 1/16", the three cubs will fill a second sheet. ...

Massachusetts

Anybody in Massachusetts or a surrounding State? I have a customer wanting simple artwork that involves using two sheets of 1/16" metal. The cost to ship 159 pounds of metal from here (Texas) is $1100. I don't know what her reaction will be when I tell her, but she might have deep pockets. Who ...

Re: material rack

I don't think you need cross bracing unless you aren't confident in your welds, but I would think about another storage idea for the small drops, and the other for full or half sheets. I have a similar, albeit smaller storage for those sheets that are just to large to scrap. Anything of useful size,...

PS...Add some cross pieces in addition to the ones front and back. Tube preferably so you can push the sheets the length of your holder.

Re: New to Plasma Art and ned help wih DXF

First, you'll need some kind of CADD program. Turbocad is relatively cheap, all the way up to Auto Cad which is pretty expensive. And of course, there is Corel. You need a drawing program that can save files as DXF or DWG. These are the file types that need to be used to make your FGC or machine fil...

Checked the one amp fuse in the height controller? If it's blown, the torch will fire in air and not dive to sense material.

Re: Fan for down draft, opinions please

My 2 cents...get your water closer to the metal. 4-5 inches is a LONG way. I have my water close, and no more than 1-2 inches...pert near no smoke.

Who is your supplier? Alamo? I'm paying about $50-$55 for a 4x8 sheet of 16 ga. and that's no tax, and I pick it up. If I could save $10, I'd buy elsewhere. Bob.

Re: pierce holes

With the Torchmate software you could decrease your dwell time (the time from when the torch senses the material to when it strikes an arc) which would get the torch moving before an arc is established. Never actually tried to do this, but it would seem too, that a really good "pierce" wou...
