I received my file and it's incredible. Thanks DesignShop.com for providing such high quality files. I look forward to cutting these for the next Day of the Dead celebrations.

Re: new toy Plate Roller

I'm thinking of building something similar. What's the best type of metal to build the rollers out of? Tubing, round rod stock, stainless, Chromoly, tool steel, etc?

Koi Fish

Here is a Koi fish file that I've been working on and cleaning up this morning. I'm having issues when I load it into Sheetcam though. The scaling is off for some reason. I've got the document properties in Inkscape as inches and I save it in inches when I export the DXF. When I import into Sheetcam...

Re: Random File Dump. Enjoy!

Thanks so much! These files look great. I would love to have the Name and initial files if that's ok. The Springfield Armory is pretty cool as well.

Re: Help with union

Thanks for the help guys! I got it to work and scaled and edited the drawing to hopefully make it possible to cut. The only other issue I had was when I created the Union, it added an extra stroke around the switch plate that I had to delete. Here's the final product.

Help with union

I'm having trouble with a drawing. I downloaded the standard lightswitch dxf from here and I'm trying to combine an image into it. I select both objects and click combine paths and then Union paths and the combine works but the Union is doing nothing. Can anyone point me in the right direction? It's...

Re: LEARN YOUR CRAFT!

I just wish people would use the File Help/Conversion section of the site instead of putting these requests in the general discussion section. I don't want all these request threads filling the other pages when there is one specifically for those requests.

Re: Opening a metal art store. Need some ideas!

There are a variety of styles of clips and you can put multiple clips on a single wire. Very flexible system. I liked how easy it was to take down a sold piece and put up a new one. You can quickly and easily change the look of your display each day of a show to keep things fresh or to highlight wha...

Re: Opening a metal art store. Need some ideas!

I used a system similar to this when I had a gallery. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011AO1968?psc=1 . Pretty inexpensive and you can easily change out the look and spacing of the pieces on your wall. For pieces without hangars on them you would need to use magnets with the hooks but it could be done. I...

Re: Beef Cuts File

Yep, they are all over the place on google images. I just picked the one that I liked the best and went with it. I think it would make more sense if the shank and brisket were switched on this image but that wouldn't be hard to do.

Thanks Jim! I'll just keep cutting those by hand and not expect that from a cnc machine at a low price point. I've learned a lot from this forum

Re: Delusional Designs CNC Support

Anyone cut much corrugated with one of these tables? I'm considering one but would like opinions on their thc. I'll be cutting corrugated somewhat frequently and want to know if it will reliably do it. Any video would be great.

Beef Cuts File

Was wanting a beef cuts sign after someone else posted the pork cuts one. This is my first trace that I've done without the auto trace tools. I haven't cut it and I'm sure there are some letters that could be cleaned up a bit. Hopefully, as I figure out this software I can be more of a contributor t...

Re: What steel for knife blank?

Thanks for the suggestions. I would ideally like to find some 4'x4' or larger sheets to play with then purchasing small blanks. I'll check with my steel supplier and see what's available.
