Re: Floating Head Post Code

Now that I think about it the backlash compensation is likely causing this. I would try the one without backlash
I assume in Mach you have BL disabled? and nothing entered in the Z backlash box.

I would ask Les over at SheetCam forum. For whatever reason it is putting in a double line of code.

That post seems to have an issue. I just ran a test and see the same double touch off. Let me play with it a few.

Sounds like you have the inputs set wrong. Is active low checked? Not sure what the Proma puts out, active high or low.

If the DTHC is off then it is not the tip saver.
What does the DRO read for the Z height when it's up an inch off the surface? Sound more like he is gaining/loosing steps.

Re: promo 150 install need help

Sound like you are missing a lot. You do know you need to get the 7-35volts DC to power the Proma from your table controller or other DC power source. The connections to the PM45X is for arc voltage. If you bought the mechanized version of the 45 you will have a connector on the back for the arc vol...

Re: SheetCam Ethercut Question

Sheetcam is Sheetcam. The Post Processor is what can change. If you had your (assuming you have one) sliding Z offset in Mach in your old files and now you have it in the post then that will change. You can use the Ethercut DTHC post with the older bladerunner by turning off Ethercut in the post. Yo...

Make sure you use 300volt or better insulated wire for the voltage.

Re: Best cutter I can get (budget)

I would think there would be a lot of the PM45's out for sale. The reason is the new PM45X is out and with the better Duramax torch and plasma marking available a lot of the older 45's are being sold cheap.

Re: Torch On/Off Relay Connection

You should be able to run a jumper from the relay side of that jumper you removed to pin 1 or 8 and yes make that your output #1 and use the onboard relay

Re: Torch On/Off Relay Connection

The "charge pump" is a safety on some controller boards (always a good idea in my book) If the controllers loses the computer pulses it stops all motion and will not come out of reset.

Re: Best cutter I can get (budget)

I think you need to tell us what you will be doing with it. There is a big gap in cutting 18ga art vs. cutting 3/4" steel plates. It makes a difference in the machine also. Thin stuff has to be cut at a faster setting than thick. Trying to keep the speed of cut consistent at high speed is a who...
