Re: Delusional Designs CNC Support

I been using Inkscape, corel, for a long time... Also Sheetcam since 2003. Re: Delusional Designs CNC Support

I looked at their table. Is anyone weird about having a belt driven system? I don't know that I would trust it. And replacing it and getting it lined back up again just seems like a big pain? I had belts on my shapeoko3..worked well for that but they do stretch and had to be re-adjusted. Plus it wa...

Re: Delusional Designs CNC Support

The part, that you can't cut smooth with a plasmacam.. I think there are many examples here, that proves otherwise.. I don't see any cuts being made on his table to show that it's even rigid enough to get good cuts. None. Making a big deal about running a table remote is just plain silly.. You goin...

Re: Wavy cuts on small letters, Now Tons of Dross

Well the samson and plasmacam are both designed the same so this means they are using the gear track as part of the linear rail I.E. only one wheel on one side of the gantry and two on the other plus it is riding on a powder coated surface.. so you are using a non smooth surface as your rail .Which ...

Sounds like you either have moisture of oil in your air.. What are you running for air filter-air dryer system and do you have an oil separator in the system to.. IN general you should run a Oil separator, then a filter then thru your air dryer then to the cutter.. i have found refrigerant air dryers...

Re: Torch crashes when cutting thicker material

Sounds like you have your thc set to low.if the torch is to low you need to raise the set torch voltage on your thc.if the torch is to high when cutting you need to lower the set voltage on your thc.. So raise volts to raise torch and lower volts to lower torch.. Conductivity, cut speed, and many ot...

Re: help with choosing software for my monster

Inkscape is a great free cad software .. To me it is better than most you would pay 1000 bucks or more for.. It has great node editing, great scanning features. nice text features and also has tons of great effects which make it great for 2d stuff like plasma, plate marking and other 2d stuff.. There ...

Torchmate doesn't support the products they sell?

I ended up calling torchmate today and first spoke with Joel in tech support about an issue i am having with torchmate cad 8.1 not exporting svg files as a 1 to 1 ratio. It exports as around .75 to one..When the other 6 cad softwares all export svg as a 1 to 1.. These issues are non exsistant with bo...

I use caster on all my Delusional Designs CNC machines and have never noticed the machine moving even when cutting at 500ipm..
