Re: Ideas on growing business

I acid dip overnight, then hit the edges with a grinder if necessary, then sandblast and then powder. Normally I can do 20-30 parts in an hour.

Re: New to CorelDraw 2017- help!

Yes OTHill, thats how it works. Grouping one or several objects lets you move them as a group. You can edit them as well. Ungrouping them will return them back to their own individual objects. Welding will take both objects and make them one object. No need for editing with the virtual segment or no...

Re: New to CorelDraw 2017- help!

Group will take multiple objects and link them together, so if you have a square on the left and a circle on the right, when you group them they will both move together regardless of which one you select. Ungrouping will just deselect the two objects making it so you can move one without the other. ...

Re: New to CorelDraw 2017- help!

One of the biggest things that make it difficult to weld is by not combining the objects together. To do this select the two objects (or press CTRL +A to select everything) and then select combine from the pull down menu. Once combined, un-select everything (click off somewhere that is clear), then ...

I never use grease. If something needs to be lubed I use a dry silicone spray. Grease will attract dust like flies to #@$%. Eventually it will gum up your machine. Your machine may be different than mine though...

Re: Vinyl cutter help

US cutter. I got my wife one - MH871 MK2 - and she loves it. They have excellent service and parts. Good prices on low budget cutters. I think her's was under 300 with a vinyl supply kit and stand. 36" cutting surface. She cuts my plasma drawings out with it and has even started having me cut h...

Re: newbie notes!!!

The cutting program is pretty much set it and forget it. If your drawing is good, usually all I do is make my toolpaths and then export from TorchmateCAD, then import it into Torchmate, check my zero position with the torch on the table, if it is close to anything else I will run a test pass (torch ...

On the same page as the lead-ins/lead-outs there should be a setting for overcut. I usually go .25" and it works great.
Best of luck.

In corel, you would export it to DXF.....not save. But that is Corel. Inkscape may allow you to save as DXF instead of exporting.

Re: Torchmate Issue's

The bottom picture looks great, can't really see an issue with the actual cut - movements other than the pieces are not dropping out. What you will need is to set up your lead-ins and lead-outs. That can be set on the torchmate CAD software. You can find it in your tool paths menu.....are you creati...

Quick trace....
It has not been tested to be cut-ready. May need some editing.

Hope this works.
Should be a Desert Tech Rifle, then it would be totally awesome.

That is in Corel Draw. I am sorry, thought you were using Inkscape which is usually quite similar. Have no idea about Bobcam or if it has that capability. Can't help you there.

Re: need help with lnes

First you are going to have to attach all the drop out pieces (like you have done in the first pic you posted). Then, instead of trying to draw each line, select the line you want to edit and then use the contour tool. That should do it for you.
