Re: Does anybody else really despise their Torchmate?!?!

I upgraded my drives to transmission drives instead of the normally used belt drives. Some tables were available with the transmissions, most were the belt drives. Here are a couple pics of the two. First one is the upgraded transmission drives: drive1.jpg And here is a picture of the belt drive set...

Re: Does anybody else really despise their Torchmate?!?!

I have a TM table and thus far am pretty happy with it (going on 9+ years or so). It cuts very nicely and having worked on some other tables (plamacam, Arclight) I would have to say my TM is on par with both of those, some features on the TM are better, some are not. Mine does cut perfectly round wi...

Re: who has a website

I have done a couple websites, you can see my portfolio here: http://www.gamelordproductions.com/portfolio.html (I also built the site in the link). What exactly are you looking for in your website? Are you looking for a vanity site (just personal to show you or your business items) or a full e-comm...

Re: help with corel

Biggest problem with welding is that the two objects you are trying to weld together are on different layers. What you need to do first is to select both objects you want to weld and then "Combine" them together. You can find the "Combine" under the "Arrange" pull down ...

Michmetalman, just offer free shipping on certain items. If it fits in a flat rate USPS box, free shipping should be a non-issue. Flat rate ships across the continent for the same rate. Most people will understand when you say "Because of the size, this item does not qualify for our FREE Shippi...

If you have Corel, just import the SVG, then export as DXF. Inkscape is the same, as are many other programs.

Haven't used that one so can't really give you any pointers. If you ever try Corel or Inkscape (which is very similar to Corel) I can probably help you out.

Re: Miller 625 Extreme issue and opinion

I looooove my miller tig....but this would make me very nervous. I like to stay brand loyal, but the Hypertherm units are so amazing, that's what I would purchase instead. I would have to be moving this unit 10 ft. above the ground and have it break and get destroyed by it's own faulty design. Down ...

Re: student version

One thing you can do that may save you some money is to find a used full version of X3/X4 etc... You should be able to pick that up off of Fleabay for 30-50 bucks. Then, once purchased, install and you can then buy the Upgrade. Look for it to be on sale from Corel, you can find upgrades for usually ...

Re: Scaling a project

Scaling should be fine except for any pieces that rely on the thickness of the material for proper fit. So as mentioned above, if you have a slot that a piece fits into, scaling the object will make the slot larger and thicker so the piece will not fit properly. If it is just overall size then scali...
