Re: This DXF wont work

With Inkscape there are 2 way DXF files can be saved, see attached screen shot. I'm not expert but I have see what you are talking about.
Maybe some with more smarts can tell what the difference is and which you should use.

Re: Help with end of cut problem

I am only going on the grunt sound which happens just as the Z would be moving up, which it does not. To Change the Z acceleration and velocity number lower is a quick check and easily return to the original numbers. These are in the Mach 3 Motor tune section under the config tab. While on the main ...

Re: Help with end of cut problem

I watched the video and it sounded like the Z motor stalled and that is why it did not raise up.
You may try reducing the Z velocity and acceleration a little (mach motor tune).

Re: ELIMINATING NO-OFFSET HOLES

Looks like pierce holes, the time is too long. There is a delay in the G-code that helps.
If you list your equipment someone may be able to help you out with them.
You can also search here for posts about this problem.

Re: Cutting Holes in multi-layer sign

I use Inkscape but you should be able to do the same thing with CorellDraw. when you have the complete drawing with all layered parts I break them apart and then combine lets say one of the top parts with the bolt hole location. I then copy that to another page of the program. I do this so I can nes...

Re: Getting close to the finish

Testing dust shoe when routing wood and aluminum, video shows it in action (turn down the sound). Removed 100% of the wood and 99% of aluminum. I used 2 different bits, "V" on wood and 1/8" ball nose on aluminum. Not pleased with the ball nose :( I think the aluminum was sticking to i...

Re: cutting plasma cnc

by doing the test I talked about above you will find out what is the voltage for your system. I have a Hypertherm and use the book setting I have no idea what your plasma from China should be. Keep a log of your finding and repeat for different thickness of metal, it may take a little time but you w...

Re: needing some help with a roof logo

Well if you had Inkscape, or QCAD both free and I'm sure others you open the SVG file and save it as a DXF file.
Or say which one you want to use some one will convert it for you, And you will find sometimes using SVG is better then DXF.

For that thickness why are you using 100 to 130 amps. you should be able to cut it with about 65 amps at 1000mm/min.

Re: needing some help with a roof logo

Here are 3 different ways to do it. You can cut out the parts and attach them to a background, or cut the parts out of a single sheet. I attached the smaller roof parts with bridges to have them stay in. Or you can cut all the parts and layer them. have fun roof cut out parts.svg roof cut out.svg ro...

Re: cutting plasma cnc

Many things come into play, thickness of the metal and using the correct amps, nozzle size, air pressure, cutting height, and cutting speed. Your THC has a sensitivity adjustment if it is set to low it may not react to waves in the metal, and to high the torch will rapidly move up/down when cutting....
