Re: Floating Head Post Code

:o I must say you are way off base with your interpretation of my post. I have always approached the post I have made in a positive manor, and add hope, humor and the use of emojis to lighten the mood. I have never called a poster out and was taken back when you started here. I never portray myself ...

Re: Putting an swirl finish on aluminum

Not sure if this will help but the process for what is called "engine tune finish" uses a compound and a leather pad. Aluminum is to soft for a flat wheel

First I am not trying to be a smartass, You have a problem and have asked for help. Many here help and have different ways of looking at things it does not mean one is better then another. We are remote from you and it is hard to see things on your end, we can only go by what is posted. It may help ...

Re: promo 150 install need help

Ok I may not have been clear with the test cut. What you should do is set up a cut with the torch cutting at 0.060" with out the THC signals going to Mach and cut long enough for you to see the voltage on the Proma display. This should tell you what voltage your setup will have while cutting at...

Re: Floating Head Post Code

Yes I was not sure you have converted to MM and I assumed you were using inch measurements :)
I thought this was an odd value (N0120 G00 Z0.2126) in your G-code

Re: promo 150 install need help

What you may need to do is make test cuts at 0.060" torch height for about 5" so you can see what voltage should be for that metal thickness.
You may need to create a chart to use with your setup. I found Proma work better with raw plasma volts then the voltage divider voltage.

Re: Floating Head Post Code

That post processor said it looks for a MM input for switch offset, maybe you should look for another post processor that would work better for you.

Re: Q on constructing this piece

Here is my take on it I see a problem in layers that have no support behind them. I would rearrange the goats and the one flower so you don't have 3 layers. If you could move the flower below the branch and I would cut the behind goat in 2 Parts and so the goats form 1 layer. The space between them ...

Re: Starting with Ethercut

Well I would say go to Tom's site and download that post processor again. If another post processor can generate a G-code then SheetCam is ok. Since some post processors are written for an electronics package they may not run on your system. That is why Tom has written his own to be used with his el...

Re: Starting with Ethercut

Looks like you have a bad post processor, have you tried another, Just pick one and see if it will run a post processor ok.
You may need to change a setting in the one your having a problem with

Re: promo 150 install need help

I would say you have a bad relay in the proma, When in TST you should see torch arc on all the time and the up/down light should toggle on and off. If you see this on the proma and not on the diagnostic page its bad. If you have an Ohm meter remove the output wires from the proma and put you meter o...

When it is cutting it is using the arc voltage for move direction maybe you have the up and down swapped.

Rail Road Luggage Cart Coffee Table

Another wild hair project, just wanted to make a Rail Road luggage cart here is what I came up with. Most of the metal parts were cut on my table I cut a star form so I could emboss it for the corner covers. Attached are images of the form used to press the star. All metal parts were powder coated w...

Re: promo 150 install need help

I forget to tell you that you need to remove the emulate function so Mach can function normally, just make like you were selecting a key but enter nothing and exit. It should then clear out the key you had selected before.
Are you saying the the Proma no longer shows things happening in Test mode?

the emulated inputs only work if you have selected keys on the keyboard. If you have keys selected when you push them the lights on the program page should light. See attached image the emulated keys I used (123 is F12 and 19 is PB key) you will need to put your correct pin number where needed and h...

If the wiring is done just change the pins in Mach to match
