Re: My New Hypertherm 45 XP

My 2 cents from my past inquires and purchases. Like most large companies, Hypertherm lists on their web site where to buy retail machines and parts. I haven't seen a Hypertherm direct store for machines or parts. Hypermaxonline.com is owned by parent company Earlbeck Gases & Technologies, but a...

Re: Proma Compact THC

The online instruction aren't too bad but can be a little confusing. There is lots of info and videos floating around the net regarding setup. If they don't help I'd suggest you contact Proma or one one of the machine builders that use them for assistance. (Eagle?)

Re: 45xp tool settings

I used the 45xp tool set I found online for Sheetcam. I had to increase the pierce time on most (some of them were originally zero) and slow the machine down on many of the original settings. I think the IPM settings are pretty accurate on most machines as far as what you set as your actual cut spee...

Re: Yeehaa, getting a new Powermax 45xp, any set up tips?

Well, you prob have the 45xp by now, but start with the cut speeds listed in the manual to start with and go from there. I slowed mine down a little bit from the published speeds on most. My only issue was when I loaded the 45xp "tool set" in Sheetcam many of the pierce delays were zero or...

Re: Vinyl cutters

I got a 34" US Cutter SC with a stand for pretty cheap (3 years ago next month). Look on EBAY, or their website and they also sell refurbished cutters. I paid $297 including shipping, and a stand with the rollers. The refurbished as far as I could tell was new in the box. I've cut heat press vi...

Re: Portable plasma cutter

I honestly think you'd get more practical use from a small plasma cutter that runs on both 220 & 110. You're pretty limited with a system like you mentioned as far as metal thickness and portability etc. For severing bolts and exhaust etc, A hand torch would be more practical. If nothing else, g...

Re: Re-Ordering Cuts in SheetCam

Yes. Click on edit start points (the +S symbol). Then right click on the start point you want to change and then select "quick cut sequence". When you are done, right click on a start point and choose "end sequence". Once you play with a bit it's pretty self intuitive so you'll f...

Re: DIY'ers List of Materials for DIY table

I didn't see https://www.automationtechnologiesinc.com/ in the list. I've always been very happy with their prices and service. Also Ebay shouldn't be overlooked for import electronics and ball nuts/screws etc. There is also an 80/20 store on ebay that has some good prices on odds and ends and cutof...

Re: Another what's this part called?

I can't tell from the photo what make or model yours is (Import SBR20's ?) but most linear bearings have replaceable parts. The old ball bearing/guide assembly (made from what looks like plastic or nylon) can be removed from the metal carrier and simply replaced. It just depends. I'd contact the fol...

Re: 45xp machine Torch Diameter?

Thanks, Got mine a while back and fits my mount perfectly.
Whats the best option part number for a hand torch with a short cable (20'/25') purchase? The models I see listed for the 45xp don't look like they have the quick connect... must the connector be purchased separately?

Re: Torch On/Off Relay Connection

Looks like you got it working, but for others who may be having issues... I have the same breakout board and 45xp. If you don't have 12-24 volts connected the relay won't work. Also the jumper must be on the pins to activate the relay for pin 17. You can change the relay to either NO/NC by simply ch...
