I don't know anything about BURN TABLE . there were two choices I SUGGESTED the better of the two . because I do know plasma cam is the bottom. so between the two its a better choice. they didn't ask for a recommendation or I would have given some . and sorry bulltear wouldn't be one of them Not to...

Re: Viper Plasma

Why don't you guys like the Burn Tables machine? Their salesman has been very helpful and full of knowledge. Although I do notice he likes to bash other table manufacturers. I think I am between Arclight and LDR Motion Systems. Because I bought one and it's a piece of crap... If you plan to use it ...

Re: Problems shorting out boards in control system, help???

How is the everlast plasma holding up? also I notice there is only one type of consumable how is the cut quality on different materials? could you post some pics thanks The everlast unit fried back in December. Re: DECIDING BETWEEN TABLES-Burn Table or Plasma Cam

Look into a Bulltear.com setup. For probably $2K more than Burntables sells their 4x4 for, you can build a 4x8 Bulltear and have MUCH higher quality parts. I am in the process of putting together my Bulltear table I just got, the quality difference is not even comparable between the two.

Re: Fine Cut consumable problems, is this normal?

The range of the THC voltage is designed to work with the regular consumables with the voltage regulator in the Hypertherms. Using the fine tip consumables in the Hypertherm's put the voltage out of range on the THC, to use the THC and fine tip consumables, the raw voltage of the Hypertherm needs t...

Re: Fine Cut consumable problems, is this normal?

I figured it was just a problem with the control box on the table itself, although when I talked to Burntables they acted like I should not even be using FineCut's. I told them that I felt Hypertherm would say otherwise (why would it be made and marketed for CNC use if it should not be used on a CNC...

Fine Cut consumable problems, is this normal?

Is it normal for a CNC table to not work properly with FineCut consumables? The ATHC does not function, at slow speeds it does OK, but when it reaches full cut speeds (@ Hypertherms suggested settings) the torch raises up to 1/2" or higher and never comes back down after it slows back down. Wit...

Holy Crap!

Wow, I didn't know what I was missing! I had an Everlast PP60c that bit the dust after 9 months of use, so I decided I would do what I should have done in the first place and get a Hypertherm PM65. $2,690 shipped with machine torch from Harris welding WITH a consumable kit (about $175 is cheapest I ...

Re: What Brand of Table Do You Have? -PlasmaCam, FastCut CNC

I have a 4x4 Burntables, I have not been pleased with it. From the table being out of square, the grating not being the same height (some as much as 5/8" higher than others), the Z-axis drive setup is a joke, loose screws throughout on the gantry (they didn't use loctite), I could go on and on....

If you continue looking for budget tables, I will warn you, the Burntables brand sounds/looks decent, but STAY AWAY.

Re: DECIDING BETWEEN TABLES-Burn Table or Plasma Cam

Burntables was notified of all these problems in March (by PM on a message board of which I have copies of), they did nothing to fix the above problems, as well as some other problems. They DID replace multiple control boxes that either failed to work right out of the shipping box, or that were frie...

Re: DECIDING BETWEEN TABLES-Burn Table or Plasma Cam

I own a Burntable, I would not buy another... I have had MANY issues, some minor, some major. If you don't mind your table being out square, and the torch head pulled down with a bungee cord, buy one  I won't go into further detail right now about all the other issues I've had, the one's below...

Re: Could someone 'fix' this file please?

And I just noticed, I had tried to post a 'thanks' to Russ, but it didn't go through on my phone. So thanks Russ.

I guess I need the FULL version of Corel X5? It is about $195, does that sound right?

Re: Could someone 'fix' this file please?

Ughh, well I opened the file Russ posted in Sheetcam and it worked fine, the one to the far right looked like it would work the best for cutting. Since I only needed the one to cut, I tried to open it in CAD, it opened, but the file must have been corrupted or something, it didn't have any 'curves',...

Re: Could someone 'fix' this file please?

I dont think lead in's are the problem. More that it just cuts very slow/jumpy, and that it cuts the letters in 'sections', sometimes sections of each letter multiple times.

Could someone 'fix' this file please?

Not sure what I am doing wrong, I do know I need to break down and buy a better program to use for text. I am currently running HyCad. Anyways, my issues: 1: Text does not cut in one 'run', it may cut the same line twice on any given letter, may stop/backup/start again. Just seems kind of odd... 2: ...

Re: Probably an easy trace for someone, please?

I have Hycad, it seems I downloaded draftsight and it seemed about the same as Hycad. Would I have been able to convert this with Hycad? If so how would I do it?

Probably an easy trace for someone, please?

Trying to make something for my sister, but I can't seem to be able to do anything with the logos I have. This one is a .pdf, I have a .jpg as well, but it's smaller. I also have a .doc file, but I can't open it, I tried converting it to a .dxf but that didn't work either. I know this will be multip...

Re: New idea, spatula/tong in one.

Good luck. I hate the brass nuckle thing. LOL Yea I am not a big fan of that spatula either, I just cut it because I found the file on here. It needs to be scaled down some for one, and I don't like the brass knuckles either. I don't like how it is twisted, I think it would look better if the handl...

Re: New idea, spatula/tong in one.

I really didn't think of it, my cousin's husband did, there are some other ideas that will go with it, I don't think any of those ideas have been included with a spatula before. Plus, the 'tough' look of this one might appeal better to guys, or to 'wives'. We'll see, I still have some more CAD work ...

New idea, spatula/tong in one.

I have some other plans for this as well, my cousin's husband thought it up and thinks it would be a "as seen on TV' gimmicky sale. I'm not sure it could be made cheap enough to get to the "TV" (19.95) price without going to China, but I am hoping they might sell at guns shows, fair, ...

Re: Problems shorting out boards in control system, help???

I have cut some a few things so far, I can say I am impressed as of right now. When the ESAB cut, it was almost as if it was underpowered, the cut speed had to be slow (or it seemed it did to me) for it to cut through even 1/8" steel. I have cut more with the Everlast unit today than everything...
