IMAG2331.jpg Can't remember which consumables I used on this. Also, someone suggested .070, no bueno, .063 is better, might even go a tad lower. I had too many options checked as well. I don't use the height control option now, I'm using the unshielded consumables for the 900. Anyways, some more tw...

Re: plasmacam users.... need some HELP

Thanks for the tip, I ran into the same thing. Machine tab, Auto cut control option, works now. Only problem I have now, if I go recommended speed, it's too fast. Won't cut all the way through. If I slow down, it warps. I'm thinking it's consumables. I'm using the ohmic sensor cup, with the consumab...

Re: Z height control

Think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy the advanced height control, any advice once I get it? Is it that much easier to use? Sick of the table acting up. Had it dialed in for 16 GA, went to 14, now it won't cut worth a lick. I zeroed the height, I reset. I set my material height, adjusted the sp...

Re: Z height control

IMAG2175_1.jpg Thanks JAG! I have Basic Height control, and DHC2 which contradicts each other. Why even sell it that way! LOL Anyone else that may have the powermax 900, be careful with the manufacturer's recommended settings. The 14 GA and 18 GA are swapped. I think, I can't remember which two gau...

Re: Z height control

There's another post that says to touch the metal, barely touch the metal, then reset your z axis height. I need to do that with my thicker steel.

Re: New user issue!

Did you connect the cutter. Not trying to be funny, I think that's a switch or button to hit. It will connect the cutter. I think it's in the settings tab or machine tab. Can't remember which, I'm not at my machine right now.

Z height control

I was having the hardest time with my Z axis. I had my plasma cam table figured out when I had my powermax 30 set up. Then I upgraded to a bigger cutter powermax 900, and couldn't get the cuts I had before. I just have Basic Height control. It wasn't until I read a post, and kept reading it, that it...

Re: Rat Fink

 I cut one free hand years ago. They wouldn't give me a license, so it's the only one I ever made. It's proudly displayed on my collection of Big Daddy models. Probably my favorite piece I've ever made, I also made a base for it to stand upright out of Roth's last name. I'll try to post a p...

Just stick tubing through the big holes, hang wire from the teeth. That's how I see them working, for the paint hangars. Great idea.

Re: 20 pumpkin tealights

They can be made as one piece. This was a scroll saw design. The only difference is the cutouts for the tealight. I made a few of these in 2013. Great seller.

Re: zombiesolo

;) I had a little free time. The trick to converting files, is having great tracing software. I do notice that some of my files don't work for everyone, and vice versa. But, hopefully most can benefit from the files shared by everyone. I'll try to get more detailed ones done when I get more free tim...
