I steer away from this work. 2.) signage, gates, - Have done some and enjoy it, allows creativity and fabrication skills, usually brings good profit 3.) home ...

Re: Backyard success and failure lessons wanted...

You don't say where you are from. The area may well predicate whether or not the business will succeed with local support/purchases. You may have trouble getting someone near you to help if they see you as becoming a competitor. When you say business, is your plan to produce a significant income or ...

they say that it's surprising because all their other customers love it. Probably because Vicon was developed for the sheet metal industry and cutting duct and fittings which don't require lead ins, not artwork. I have used Autocad for 20 some years and am not familiar with the process you are look...

What you want can be done with a lot of the free CAD software programs and then exported as dxf and imported into Plasmacam.

I don't think the pipes serve any purpose. Although in the pic is looks like they extend through the bottom as legs. But you could use short pieces there also.

Re: Clearcoat on cold rolled help.

It would seem that the clear is not set up hard enough and the finger prints are embedding themselves in the clear coat. Are you letting cure at correct temp and humidity? Does the clear coat feel tacky or soft? An infrared light may help cure, set faster? You should be able to sand with 600 and cle...

Re: just joined! quick question about inkscape and bitmap..

I can't help you with Inkscape but would suggest that design lends itself to a complete redraw from scratch.
